Course designed to provide training and education as per the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance program. This course of study will cover the role of an operator, eliminate/minimize hazards, discuss records and liabilities, regulations, and standards. Basic concepts taught for proper pool management covering water quality, system components, swimming pool design, potential hazards, and system maintenance. Emphasis is placed on the importance of applying all tools learned for facility preservation and reduction in operational costs, as well as the standard of care expected from the CPO®.
Virtual Two-Day Classroom: attendance via virtual GoTo meeting, interactive 14 to 16-hour, two-day program
Blended Format: combined online Pool Operator Primer Course (POP) and attendance on the second day of the virtual classroom course for the final exam.
Illinois Department of Public Health recognizes the CPO® as a verifiable certification.
